BEM CONVENTION 2024

The BEM Convention 2024 is organised by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), a federal statutory body constituted under the Registration of Engineers Act 1967 with a primary role of registering and regulating Engineers, Engineering Technologists, Inspectors of Works, and Engineering Consultancy Practices to safeguard the interest of the public.

This year, the BEM Convention 2024 will be held physically on the 1st and 2nd of October 2024 at Dewan Banquet Menara Felda, FELDA Tower, Platinum Park, No. 11, Persiaran KLCC, 50088 Kuala Lumpur.

With the theme "Empowering Engineering”, BEM Convention 2024 will be the meeting point for engineering practitioners (engineers, engineering technologists, and Inspectors of works), engineering consultant firms, government officers, academia, the industry, and students, who will participate in our two parallel sessions.

Objective

The convention theme "Empowering Engineering" has been chosen with a clear focus on recognizing and elevating the status of the engineering profession. We aim to instill a sense of value and importance in the engineering profession, ultimately raising its status within the industry.

Through these efforts, we anticipate improving the conditions for engineering professions and attracting more young talents to pursue careers in engineering. Encouraging greater participation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields among the younger generation is essential for Malaysia's continued development and progress. By showcasing the opportunities and advancements available in engineering, we hope to inspire and engage the next generation of engineers, ensuring a robust and sustainable future for Malaysia's growth and innovation.
