Datuk Wira Ir. Md Sidek bin Ahmad is a registered Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate with BEM, ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE) and Fellow of ASEAN Federation of Engineer Organisation (AFEO). He currently serves BEM as Member of National Monitoring Committee. He graduated with Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Brighton Technical College, UK. He obtained Bachelor of Science (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology( UMIST) , UK and MBA from Ohio University, Athens, USA. He has more than 30 years of experience in the technical planning, development, and operation/maintenance of the power system for the generation, transmission, distribution and retail businesses based on his various key involvement in LLN/TNB and SESB technical and management at various levels at state/regional and national levels. He is currently the ASEAN Business Service Sector Working Group Chairman, primarily addressing the professional mobility within the 10 ASEAN countries.
