Prof. Ir. Dr. Norlida binti Buniyamin is a a registered Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate and a member of the Engineering Technology Accreditation Council. She is involved in updating of the accreditation manuals of both ETAC and EAC, competency assessment and international mobility of Malaysian Engineers. Prof. Ir. Dr. Norlida is also a Professor of Electrical Engineering in MARA University of Technology (UiTM) and the first woman President of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). She graduated from the University of Adelaide, with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. She then obtained an MSc in Industrial Control System and a PhD in the area of Knowledge Management for Manufacturing Enterprises from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).
