Ir. Lee Boon Chong has more than 35 years of experience in the industry as a professional engineer as well as a project management practitioner. He has served the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), and the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) in the areas of professional engineering competence assessment. Ir. Lee is currently serving in BEM on the Working Group for Professional Assessment Examination (PAE). He was previously a Board Member and has served other standing committees in BEM including the Examination and Qualification Committee, Application Committee, and chairing Information Technology Committee. He has also served in the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) as deputy chair. Ir. Lee Boon Chong was the IEM Vice President and has chaired the Examination and Qualification Standing Committee that initiated, planned, and implemented the outcome-based competence assessment for the enhanced Professional Interview (PI). He has conducted training for both the interviewers and the applicants on the enhanced PI.
