Muhammad Firdaus Bin Muhammad Idris has been a quality professional in construction practise since 2004, after graduating from the University Putra Malaysia with Bachelor of Civil Engineering. Currently, he works as a Resident Engineer in Quality Assurance for the Gua Musang Hydroelectric Project in Kelantan and pursuing his Master in Quality Management. Among the notable construction projects in which he has been involved are the Iskandar Region Development Authority (IRDA) infrastructure project, the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), and the Langat Centralised Sewerage System. A Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, as well as a member or committee member of this fraternity-related association, such as Institute Quality Malaysia (IQM) or Construction Inspector-of-Work Association Malaysia (COWAM). The majority of his responsibilities in this construction and engineering quality management include establishing integrated management systems among all organisations that either directly involved or appointed for the project, auditing project quality performance, and resolving quality management issues during project implementation, particularly method to ensure contract document compliance. Since 2015, Muhammad Firdaus has made significant contributions to the construction engineering industry by speaking on the same topic for governments or private bodies such as KLIA College, UPM-MTDC, IEM, and private training centres with BEM’s approved CPD hours.
