First Admiral (Rtd) Dato' Ir. (Dr) Haji Ahmad Murad bin Omar is a registered Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate and Fellow, Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). He graduated with BE (Mech) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). After that, he completed his MSc Engineering Business Management (EBM) at Warwick UK and obtain his PhD (Hon) Technology from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). His is expertise evolves in the Marine Engineering (Naval Construction) which he gained from serving the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) as Director General of Engineering and Fleet Systems Commander. After retiring, he became the Executive Chairman of OMAHAMS Corp Sdn Bhd 2010. Amongst his contributions are getting involved as; Member of Cabinet Committee TVET for marine programs, Team leader for RMN Submarine feasibility study group, Industrial advisory panellist for UTM, UMT add UniKL (MIMET) and Industry Advisor for development of Bagan Datok Marine Polytechnique.
