Muhammad Ashiq Marecan Bin Hamid Marecan is a registered Graduate Engineer with Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM) and Graduate Member of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). He is the Chairman of Young Engineers Section (YES) in IEM (The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia). He graduated in B.Eng (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) with dual degree from Staffordshire University, UK before completed MSc. in Engineering Business Management at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Mr. Muhd Ashiq Marecan is working in construction field as BIM Engineer in mechanical & electrical (M&E) consulting firm. His experience in construction field includes project management, design and modelling, site supervision & coordination by involved in various types of project such as high-rise building, commercial building, hospital, hotel & service apartment, shop lots, housing development & etc. Apart from that, he has been actively involved in extracurricular activities conducted in IEM through YES by taking part organising many IEM special event such as IEM Engineers Run, IEM Family Day, take part in Membership, Drive & Promotion activities during exhibition & others. Despite that, he is also serving as Secretary-General for Young Engineers of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisation (YEAFEO) that mainly involve on the promotion, development & exchange ideas among young engineers in the ASEAN region.
